Hello my English speaking friends ;-)
This Blog will be some kind of journal during the time I'll study at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, which will be the upcoming academic year (August 2011 to May 2012). As I mentioned in the previous post in German, I will probably switch between English and German updates, since I both want my future International friends but also my non-English speaking friends in Austria to be able to follow this blog.
I'm really excited about my upcoming study abroad experience and can't wait to get it started :-)
The application has been quite a lengthy and time consuming process with lots of paperwork, but it will definitely be worth it :-)
I got my Visa a few days ago, which allows me to stay in the U.S. till the end of June 2012. I'm really looking forward to both studying in NM but also hopefully travelling a lot - I've been to the East Coast last summer, which was amazing. I am going to depart a few days before the orientation week at my University in Las Cruces starts in order to spend some time in Miami - I would have a stopover there anyway, so I figured I could stay there for a couple days and take a break from the long flights :-)
